The Splendid Torch
The Splendid Torch includes watercolor and ink sketches, watercolor paintings, hand-illustrated greeting cards, hand-illustrated stickers and other merchandise. I chose the name based on the quote from George Bernard Shaw: "Life is no "brief candle" for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible." It reflects my determination to pay attention and appreciate joy. The logo includes my treasured fountain pen, the flame on a bottle of ink, all on a background of watercolor.
